Jai Ganapathy Arts

The Tanjore Painting is a specialised form of art which developed under the patronage of the Chola kings who were great connoisseurs of art during 16th century. These paintings depict gods and goddesses in the traditional Tanjore style, adorned with gold foil, semi- precious stones, pearls and cut-glasses.

Serious endeavors are being made to revive this art through the schools of traditional arts and crafts. This form of art has gained special place among many people of all ages including foreigners who have evinced great appreciation of the paintings.

Special classes are being conducted. For details contact K. Viramanikandan.
