![]() Uma MuralikrishnaUma Muralikrishna began her training in Bharathanatyam from the age of five under Padmashri K.N Dandayudhapani Pillai. Subsequently she was under the guidance of Padmashri Adyar K. Lakshman.Apart from her abiding interest in Bharathanatyam she is also intensely devoted to Kuchipudi. Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempatti Chinna Satyam is her Guru. She has performed in all the major Sabhas and festivals in the city and also all over the country. To mention a few, Music Academy, Krishna Gana Sabha, Bharath Kalachar, Karthik Fine Arts, the Surya festival in Trivandrum, the Khajuraho festival in Konarak, the Bharath Cultural Integration festival in Delhi and Mumbai, the Mahabalipuram festival in Madras, Natyanjali Festival in Chidambaram, and for the International Dance Alliance.
She is the daughter-in-law of the reputed play-back singer Smt. S. Janaki. Some Reviews...
