In her career spanning more than two decades of dancing, she has been blessed by many scholars and dignitaries like (Late) Rukmani Devi Arundale, the founder of Kalakshetra, Padmashri (Late) Vazhuvoor Ramiah Pillai, the late Governor of Tamilnadu Shri Prabhudas Patwari, the then President of India Shri R.Venkatraman to name a few.

Deepa GaneshDeepa has a diploma in dance and was awarded the title of Natya Kala Ratna by Natyakalalayam. She was presented a scholarship in dance in the All India competition held by the Alaknanda Academy of Dance and Music. She has been featured often on TV in India and has been formally recognised as a graded artiste by Madras Doordarshan. To honour her excellence in dance, she was awarded the Hind Gaurav Award in 1992 from Mr.Arjun Singh, the then Minister for Human Resources Development. In 1993, she was presented the Gem of India Award, in recognition of her signal achievements in the field of classical dance. In 1994, the Government of India selected her for a National level scholarship in dance research.

In 1991, she embarked on a unique experiment of dancing to the Tani Aavartanam of the Thavil played by the reputed Sri Valayapatti Subramanian. In this she has earned the appreciation of the doyens of music and dance.

Deepa Ganesh has brought about a change in the outlook to dance in Dubai by increasing the stress on classicism, dedication and inner beauty. She has established close teacher student rapport not normally found in this part of the world. At the age of 25, not many have the credit of moulding three youngsters for their arangetram.

Deepa feels a deep sense of gratitude to her Gurus for what she is today. Her competence in Laya and Bhava can be traced to her Guru Sri Adayar Lakshmanan's mastery over mridangam, music and dance. She owes her skill in Abhinaya to Smt.Kalanidhi Narayanan's understanding of the subtle nuances of emotive dance.
